In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
